Fate Train

This was written for my brother, and sent snail mail across the ocean as a surprise. Bluesy and fun to play. Fiddle Cross tuning (AEAE).

Irma is a classically trained violist who has spent the past few years bringing contra dancing to Austria, organizing monthly dances. To make it all come together, she taught herself to fiddle – listening, transcribing, studying tutorials, and forming her band WoodCut along the way. In the process, she discovered a passion for tune writing and has since written nearly a hundred tunes, several of which have been featured at the dances in Graz.

Irma is also deeply committed to highlighting music by women, a focus that shapes both her fiddling and classical engagements.
