Tunes From The Women

Tunes from the Women website is a project started by Northumbrian piper and fiddler Kathryn Tickell. It all started when Faber Music approached Kathryn to compile a book of contemporary folk tunes written by women. The book was published in 2023 and Kathryn felt that there was so many great tunes written that she wanted to give the opportunity for as many women to upload their tunes as possible so hence this website!
