Song of Islay

by Jane Williams

This is a song but it does well as a tune, too. The song is a round trip of Scotland. I just remember having the flu when I wrote this!

Originally from the UK, Jane now lives and works in Norway. She grew up with and around folk music and started composing very early on. Her influences are all the greats from the 70’s and 80’s. Jane’s main instrument is guitar and she also plays harp, fiddle, keyboard and whistle. She lives in Tromsø in the far north of Norway and is part of a lively folk group which performs regularly for tourists and events.
